Adam J Bramall is a lifelong Sheffield United supporter and a Barmy Army member, following England in Australia since 1994. Still at the Crease: An Ashes Journey tells the story of a passionate and committed fan, his body betraying him, on what he fears may be his last Ashes tour.
It is an account of ten thousand miles across an Australian summer, from Perth to Sydney, written from the stands rather than the middle. This is the Ashes seen from where the ordinary supporter sits, shadowed throughout by the knowledge that doing it again may not be possible.
